Diyet
Steeped in aboriginal culture, Diyet sings from the heart and about life in her hometown of Burwash Landing. The classically trained artist has music in her blood. Her grandfather was an eminent potlatch singer, her grandmother sang opera and her father was a musician. After a several year stint living in Vancouver writing songs for musicians in Japan, Europe and Canada, Diyet returned home to her Southern Tutchone First Nation. Diyet's songs are hopeful reflections on contemporary aboriginal culture.
